FIND, Inc. Announces 2020 Fall Dialogue Theme and Platform
Storrs, CT (October 20th, 2020) - The FIND, Inc. National Board is proud to announce that this year’s Fall Dialogue will be held on November 14th, 2020, and hosted on Zoom. For the first time Dialogue will not only be online but also planned entirely by your FIND, Inc. National Team. Keeping in mind travel restrictions and safety concerns, Nationals was adamant to continue the strong tradition of Fall Dialogue by adapting the 27th Fall Dialogue into the first with a virtual format. National’s aim is to provide an opportunity for delegates to connect with others in and outside of their own districts at a large scale of events. This also creates the chance for delegates to connect with the National team on a personal level with the content created for this Dialogue. We are proud to present the theme of this year’s Fall Dialogue: “Thank you, Sa Susunod Na Lang.”
This theme of “Thank you, Sa Susonod Na Lang” comes from three central themes for this year’s Dialogue. These themes revolve around the value of gratitude and Salamat as we encourage delegates to bond with others across the districts and to acknowledge the happenings in each other’s lives. As this Dialogue is taking place during a tiring time of the continuing pandemic along with the social and political climates of the United States, we trust that this event will allow delegates to see what they can bring to the table as students of their universities as well as individuals in this country.
With the fruition of this year’s Dialogue, we aim to acknowledge the obstacles delegates have faced (such as being on an online platform for this major event). Moreover, we aspire to create a sense of solidarity as we reflect on the different changes this year has brought on. Our latter half of the title Sa Susonod Na Lang conveys a “We’ll get ‘em next time!” attitude to be used on the adversities present this past year. The National Planning Board hopes this Dialogue motivates delegates to address their experiences, both positive and negative, and to say Thank You, Sa Susonod Na Lang - Thank you, here’s to next time.
The entire FIND, Inc. National Team is ecstatic to recreate this national event to connect members across the entire network. We hope to bring the FIND, Inc. community closer to each member through this Fall Dialogue.
