FIND, Inc. Announces the Addition of District IX

Storrs, CT (October 19th, 2020) - On Saturday, October 10th, the Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, Incorporated (FIND, Inc.) National Board voted to fully ratify the restructuring of District VIII and the creation of District IX. These changes were made due to the distance of schools between Georgia and Florida. Despite the concept that the two are bordering states, the physical distance separates the schools within the district by over a dozen hours of travel at the maximum. The addition of member organizations in Tennessee and South Carolina also presented the opportunity to restructure District VIII and decrease the maximum physical distance between schools. District VIII is now composed of these schools within  Georgia, Tennessee, and South Carolina:

  • University of Georgia

  • Kennesaw State University

  • Emory University

  • Georgia Institute of Technology

  • University of South Carolina 

  • Vanderbilt University

  • University of Tennessee -Knoxville

Just South of District VIII will be the newly created District IX, formed by the FSA network within Florida. The FSA Network was originally introduced into FIND, Inc. in February of 2017 as District VIII. Following the new district borders, District IX is now composed of these schools within Florida:

  • Florida State University

  • University of Miami

  • University of Florida

  • University of North Florida

  • University of South Florida

  • University of Central Florida
