FIND, Inc. Announces 2019 Fall Dialogue Date and Venue

Troy, NY (September 15, 2019) --

The Filipino Intercollegiate Networking Dialogue, Incorporated (FIND, Inc.) is proud to announce that this year’s Fall Dialogue will be held on Saturday, November 23rd, 2019. The event will take place at the Montclair State University, hosted by District III, District IV, and MUFASA.

District III, more commonly referred to as “D3”, encompasses schools within the metropolitan area of New York City, northern New Jersey, and Long Island. Of the eight existing districts, D3 consists of 25 member schools making it the district with the most member schools. D3 is comprised of individuals who strive to maintain the importance of good communication and unity. The district has  grown significantly throughout the years and holds several collaborative district events annually. The member schools of D3 come together and compete in fall district events such as, NYU’s “Mr. Philippines” pageant, NJIT’s “Reign or Shine” Dance Competition, and more! This year, we are proud to announce that the 2019 Fall Dialogue will be added in the fall timeline of events. D3 looks to provide a channel for dialogue and action, promoting to preserve our culture, while enhancing the awareness of issues in the Filipino community through the network of schools within the district.

Montclair State University is a 4 year college that is located in Little Falls, New Jersey. It is the 3rd largest campus in the state of New Jersey. Montclair offers more than 250 majors, minors, and concentrations and has over 150 clubs and organizations. You can even pursue and satisfy other interests and hobbies you may have outside of your major. One of the organizations on campus, Montclair Unified Filipino American Student Association is a class one organization of the Student Government Association. MUFASA was founded in Spring 2013 which started off as a small club however their general body members has exponentially grown since then.  MSU strives and emphasizes student involvement on campus whether it being student run organizations, Greek Life, or career services on campus.

District IV (D4) is located in Upstate New York and encompasses 5 schools in the state: Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, University at Albany, Binghamton University, University at Buffalo, and Syracuse University.  The District is currently in its 4th year of re-establishment as prior to the 2015-2016 academic year, the District was considered defunct. Since then, the District has experienced periods of both strife and success. Leaders have both stepped down as well as risen to the challenge of leading the District towards a stable future. One of the challenges of operating within this District is the connecting the member schools over the vast distances between them, but we believe that hosting something as important as Fall Dialogue will serve to strengthen the ties that exist between the member schools and help to further reestablish the District and cement it as an organization that is dedicated to helping and serving its member schools.

The unique opportunity to have a collaboration between Districts III and IV exemplifies our mission to connect our schools across the eastern coast of the United States.
