FIND, Inc. holds 2017 Spring Conference "Ang Mundo at Ako"
New York, NY (MAY 8, 2017) --
On Saturday, May 6th, 2017, FIND, Inc. held its 25th Annual Spring Conference at PACE University in New York City, hosted by District III.
"Ang Mundo at Ako" which is translated to "The world and I", reflects the quintessential dilemma of finding your place within the community and eventually, the world. The docket was packed with an impressively diverse number of speakers from Karla Garcia, of the Broadway hit Hamilton, Nicole Ponseca, owner and CEO of two ground-breaking Filipino Restaurants, to RJ Lualhati CEO of a 3D Printing and Prototyping Company, award-winning scholar/activist, Dr. Kevin Nadal, and more.
This year’s Spring Conference drew in college students from up and down the East Coast, even boasting our first delegation from the newly formed District VIII. From interactive and engaging workshops (to the point there was a mini-dance workshop), creative District chants and an eye-opening Alumni Panel, the Conference catered to FIND veterans and newcomers alike, promoting leadership, collaboration, and dialogue. “Ang Mundo at Ako was intimate, engaging, and inspiring. It was just what we needed as a community and a satisfying way to celebrate 25 years as an organization.” - Victoria Sanchez, National Chairperson.
