Please accept our apologies for such a last minute update on the status of the Photo Exhibition this Saturday November 21. We've received a good number of some very well shot photographs that succeeded in "Capturing Culture". We've narrowed down the photographs to 10 handpicked photographs that we felt best exemplified the theme of this exhibition, which was to "Capture Culture." Your talent and natural eye for creativity, color, and composition is a gift.
IMPORTANT: Culture Show is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. We apologize for the inconvenience. All events (except for Culture Show) that were scheduled in Landmark Theater have now been moved into the VCU Student Commons. All participating entries will now be able to be seen throughout the day in various Dialogue facilities.
Again, we're are deeply sorry about any inconvenience we have caused.

Culture is defined by the individual's environment and way of life. Language, food, tradition, religion, media, art and education all contribute to one's idea of culture.
The theme for the photo exhibition is "Capture Culture." Photographers are asked to convey their relationship with culture in its rawest form.
What aspects of culture do you experience on a day to day basis? How is our culture changing? Can culture be defined in a single instance? How does culture impact your life? What does culture mean to you?
The purpose of the photo exhibition is to share and expose the different facets of culture from different perspectives to further develop our outlook on culture.
Photo entries will only be accepted until November 07, 2009. Please send to dialogue@findinc.org with "Photo Exhibit Submission: FirstInitialLastname" (ie "Photo Exhibit Submission: ETrinidad") in the subject line.
The top twelve photos that best exemplify culture in a unique way will be selected from all submissions. Photos will be judged on technical merit, composition, and impact. Each of the twelve photos will be enlarged to 30" x 45". Keep in mind some detail may be lost when enlarged.
Best of luck in your endeavors to "Capture Culture."
